A new adventure awaits!
The Adventures in Honeywood is an exciting, new animation series following the journey of Izzy and Buzz – twins who to innovate, solve problems and be creative in a world of opportunity.
Our Vision
The Adventures in Honeywood has been created to build upon the foundation of skills delivered via The Bumbles of Honeywood enterprise education programme which is now in over 300 primary schools across the UK. We have brought the characters from our books to life in a series of high energy, thought provoking animations which aim to raise aspirations of young people and continue their learning journey through enjoyable, educational entertainment.

Meet the Characters!

Izzy Bumble (She/Her)
An Unstoppable Force
Charming, energetic and a little chaotic, Izzy thinks and speaks at a hundred miles an hour. She is small for her age but makes up for it with bucket-loads of unearned confidence!
Izzy is always a mess, thanks to her active lifestyle and she loves bright colours that go with her bright personality; describing her unique style as RAINBOW PUNK.
An instinctive builder and engineer, she is practical, resourceful, and not afraid to fail – often jumping into situations feet first and just trusting she will work it out along the way.
She broke her wing after not thinking a plan through and replaced it with a bird’s feather; but this rarely holds her back from anything and she is proud of her unique look.
Her greatest love is ROLLER DERBY, where this brilliant skater is feared by everyone on the circuit and sometimes even by her own teammates!

Buzz Bumble (He/Him)
An Immovable Object
More meticulous than his chaotic sister, Buzz likes to consider all angles before deciding anything. He is very neat and does not enjoy being pushed out of his comfort zone.
He prefers gaming to Izzy’s extreme sports, but that doesn’t mean he is physically incapable. Buzz is an expert flyer and dreams of becoming a SCOUTER, elite bees who fly high, mapping terrain and expanding their knowledge of the surrounding world.
Buzz is empathetic, thoughtful and a proud know-it-all (he really does know it all!) But he often gets so caught up in the details that he forgets to share his knowledge until it’s too late – something his sister suspects he does on purpose, just to annoy her.
This keen strategist hates making mistakes and can spend hours thinking through every possible outcome before finding there is no time left to do the job – or he feels he has already done it and needs a good lie down!

Amber and Gordy Bumble
Izzy and Buzz’s parents run MAXI-WAXY, a beeswax manufacturing and delivery business. Wax is Honeywood’s all-purpose material, and these bees are nature’s 3D printers. From one day to the next, the team at Maxi-Waxy could make whole buildings, individual components, statues, toys, nectar detectors…or anything!
Amber is the practical grease monkey, a natural engineer who can construct anything provided she has a clear blueprint to work from – which is something The Bumbles often lack on their first try!
Gordy is a very put upon business manager who is always out of his depth. He never plans far enough ahead, and Amber will often rush ahead without a confirmed order.
Together, they are the worst possible aspects of their children and highlight the lessons Izzy and Buzz need to learn, often through their own ineptitude. While mayhem always ensues, the family is unstoppable when they work together.

Huey, The Delivery Dragonfly (He/Him)
A combination of an American trucker and a chinook helicopter, HUEY uses his many legs to hold crates, pallets, and parcels, then lifts off vertically – flying through Honeywood to deliver the latest output from the Bumbles’ beeswax factory.
Huey and Buzz share an affinity for a tight, well-planned schedule, while Izzy delights in testing the limits of his abilities… and his patience.

Pop (She/Her)
Imagine Groot meets Baby Yoda, mixed with Puss in Boots. The twins’ younger sister is an adorable agent of chaos. POP gets her name from her love of popping bubbles – literally and figuratively, when she highlights a failing in Izzy’s latest plan.
